How Does BCFCA Membership Benefit You?Serving YouThe British Columbia Floor Covering Association is the voice of the floor covering industry in British Columbia. It is actively engaged in promoting the best interests of its member firms, who believe that success can best be achieved through group action. Your floor covering association is dedicated to the promotion of the flooring industry throughout British Columbia. It speaks on behalf of all sectors of the industry with government, design authorities, spec writers, builders and the general public. Members of the BCFCA are dealers, both retail and contract; suppliers of materials; manufacturers of materials and suppliers of various allied services. When you join the British Columbia Floor Covering Association, you automatically become members of the National Floor Covering Association, the Council of Construction Associations and the Council of Construction Trade Associations. When you join the BCFCA, you become a part of an organization that is becoming widely recognized by consumers as responsible and professional. Today consumers ask questions about the experience, qualifications and reputation of any builder, retail store, installer with whom they may do business. Customers look for protection. The Association brings people together at meetings, social events, annual conventions and educational seminars throughout the year. Education and TrainingImprove the skills of yourself and your employees by participating in the Management, Installer and Sales Seminars that are offered through the BCFCA. Register your installers in the Floor Covering Apprenticeship Program. You are represented on the Provincial Trade Advisory Committee by your association executive. Upgrade your installers by sending them to the Annual Installers’ Convention hosted by the Association and supported by manufacturers and distributors and their technical representatives. Marketing and CommunicationReceive timely information through the Association’s Industry FAX. Quarterly, you will receive a National Floor Covering Association Newsletter. Your Association annually publishes The Western Canadian Directory. As well as being distributed to all members, it is also given to architects, builders, general contractors, spec. writers and the general public through our participation in local Trade and Home Shows. Read articles on all types of flooring that are written by your President and Directors and published locally in magazines such as Build and Green, Award Magazine and the Journal of Commerce.
