Derived from the emerging North American colour palette for 2021-2022 this CEU will discuss in-depth the key drivers that are responsible for the colour directions. There are three colour stories pertinent to the research and ultimate decisions as to which colours were included in the new palette. This CEU explores the six (6) pillars that must be considered when designing and selecting sustainable flooring. The course reviews flooring through the environmental and social lens of sustainability, and explains how the six pillars relate to the health and well-being of building occupants. Key attributes of sustainable flooring will be discussed, along with the intent and requirements of LEED v4, WELL v1, and Building Codes.
